Club Beast: Drop Off Sessions for Children 3 to 7 Years Old

by Bridget Alexander — last modified Dec 30, 2015 07:50 PM

Club BEAST runs September to May. You can attend one session or every session!

Club BEAST is a drop off session designed for children 3 to 7 years old. We create a space that honors children by offering activities and environments suited to their age range and led by experienced teachers.

Each session fills at 12 children and maintains a ratio no higher than 6 children to 1 teacher. Club BEAST offers a blend of structured arts exploration and free play within the building, always under close supervision of teachers. Children must be potty trained to attend.

Club BEAST is about exploring art and self-expression. Children dig into an array of mediums and arts in their own way. We promise arts integration with movement, song, story, and art.

And, as always, when you choose Art Beast, your money supports Tubman House, a community for young, homeless parents and their children. A portion of your camp fee is tax deductible.

Session Times: Wednesdays, 9:30 am to 12:00 pm and Thursdays, 9:30 am to 12:00 pm

Please Bring: A bottle of water. A snack will be provided. Wear clothes that can get messy!

Pricing: Club Beast prices:
$25 Single Session

$20 Sibling Single Session Rate

$75 Five Session Punch Card

Space will be limited! We HIGHLY recommend early registration. A punch card does not guarantee a spot. You will want to call in and let us know you plan to attend and use a punch.

Children must be out of diapers and pull ups to attend. This is not a series. Though many children attend weekly, you can attend a single session, weekly, or twice a week.

The sessions are designed and led by Leslie Stair, one of our Art Beast teachers. Leslie Stair is a mother, artist, and children’s librarian with a passion for bringing stories to life through art. Leslie has a Masters of Library Science and over 10 years experience working as both a Children's Librarian and as a Coordinator for a story reader training program. With an undergraduate degree in Photography, Leslie has been a life long lover of the arts who has dabbled in many mediums. She loves sharing books and stories with children and families and finding ways to use art and activities as a means to bring them to life. She also defies all stereotypes about librarians with her joyful energy and spunk.

Register at this link or by calling the studio at 916-441-1233.
Space will be limited. Payment required (non refundable) upon sign up and same day drop-in spaces available only as space permits.  We will offer a schedule of activities and provide a simple snack. Children will also have lots of time for self-directed play in the studio under the careful watch of Club Beast staff.
