Beginning Drawing offers young artists an introduction to drawing technique. Students will learn to look closely at the world, and find the lines and shapes and colors to capture what they see. The lessons follow 4 themes:
What’s my Line? Lines make up everything we see. Come and find out what happens when you draw lines, and then connect those lines!
What’s My Shape? What does a circle and a triangle make? An ice cream cone! Oh wait- turn it upside down and it’s a clown! Playing with shapes is so much fun!
What’s my face? Three eyes, six ears and freckles on your nose? What makes up your face? Draw the faces of everybody you love, and some silly ones too!
What’s My World? Sun Moon, and Stars…Trees grass, and flowers. What do you see in your world? Today we will start a picture journal for you to keep and love forever.
